The OSA archaeological site files and related records are located at the William S. Webb Museum of Anthropology’s archaeological research facility at 1020A Export Street in Lexington, Kentucky.

These records are sometimes referred to as the “OSA Library” and include archaeological site files, reports, maps, and related documentation maintained by the Office of State Archaeology as part of the statewide archaeological site record system.

Access to OSA records is restricted to qualified archaeological consultants, professional archaeologists, agency staff, students, and researchers with approved access. Records access is by appointment only and must follow current OSA procedures. See attached OSA Library Access Memorandum

Qualified users may access OSA’s archaeological site files and records by appointment at no cost. Fees apply only when OSA staff prepare project-specific GIS data packages, PDF reports, or other records review products.

Please review the outlining procedures for accessing the OSA Library for Archaeological Records Reviews before requesting an appointment.
